International Cuisine

Okay, so we've talked about missions and reaching the nations, so I thought we should do foods from different countries. I'm going to request that you lean away from Mexican or Italian...those are easy... try to do something different. Here are some ideas...

  • Swedish Meatballs
  • Greek Salad
  • Sushi (Japan)--you can buy it
  • Hawaiian Bread
  • Jamaican Jerk Chicken
  • German Apple Strudel
  • Kung Pao Chicken (they sell pre-cooked at HEB)

I'm going to bring Thai Pasta Salad...and I also have a recipe for Asian Salad if anyone would like it... Here are some websites you can get ideas from

Try something new... Think of the countries that need to hear the gospel and make food in honor of their culture.

Whoa?

Will, you can make sushi? Who does that? I thought everyone just bought that stuff at HEB.

We do have soy sauce ... but we need some wasabi.

Oh yeah!.....I'm a sushi fiend.

Got the wasabi, got the mat, got the nori and rice wine vinegar for the rice. Even got the ginger. Don't have a rice cooker or a good SHARP knife. Any way I can get some help in that arena? Kathryn said she'd make the rice for me, but that might be cutting the time pretty close.
